Welcoming Shannon Smith!

Photograph of Shannon Smith from Mondo and CODA.

CODA is pleased to welcome Shannon Smith to our team, where he will be spearheading our entry into vinyl records starting with our inaugural release: Angelo Badalamenti's original soundtrack for David Lynch's Blue Velvet, coming soon.

For those of you who may not know Shannon yet, he is a film and music aficionado based in Austin, Texas, where for the past ten years he's worked for Mondo, the pop-culture collectibles division of the Alamo Drafthouse.

Originally starting off in the shipping department, Smith's strong work ethic and love for vinyl soundtracks allowed him to turn his passion into a finely tuned profession, ultimately leading him to the position of Record Label Manager for Mondo.

Over the years, Smith has worked with Sony Music, WaterTower Records, Rhino, Hollywood Records and the Universal Music Group on a variety of licenses, projects and releases.

Shannon works music into every aspect of his life. Whether that is putting out film music on vinyl, writing songs with his wife Victoria Vasquez, or just doing the dishes while blasting The White Stripes.

We look forward to sharing all of Shannon's exciting projects with you soon, stay tuned!
